At the core is an 18-inch cold hammer-forged chrome moly vanadium steel barrel, finished with heavy phosphate coating and chrome lining, and built in Daniel Defense’s proprietary S2W profile for enhanced durability and heat resistance. The rifle-length gas system and H buffer soften recoil, allowing faster follow-up shots and reduced fatigue.

The rifle features the MFR 15.0 M-LOK handguard, CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. This lightweight rail provides superior ergonomics, cooling, and modularity, with a continuous Picatinny top rail and full M-LOK compatibility for optics and accessories. At the muzzle, the Daniel Defense Muzzle Climb Mitigator redirects gas to control recoil and muzzle rise, improving speed between targets.
