This version of the ComTac V is configured with dual downleads to support simultaneous connection to two separate radio systems, enabling independent audio routing and communication control. It retains the electronic hearing protection and ambient sound passthrough capabilities of the standard ComTac V, allowing users to maintain environmental awareness while protecting against impulse and continuous noise.

The headset features gel ear cups for increased comfort and a reliable acoustic seal, particularly during extended wear in helmeted or active conditions. It is finished in Coyote Brown and includes two PTT units for selective transmission control across both connected channels. Power is supplied by standard AAA batteries. The unit includes only the headset and two PTTs.
