Zabala Hermanos (ZABALA HNOS. S.R.C.) was a shotgun manufacturer based in Eibar, Spain. Firearms produced in Eibar are subject to proof testing at the Eibar Proof House (Banco Oficial de Pruebas de Eibar), which applies standardized proof marks to barrels and actions verifying they have been tested to pressures exceeding normal service loads. Zabala Hermanos' side by side shotguns are of a boxlock design equipped with extractors.

This example is chambered in 10 gauge with 3-1/2" chambers, and 32 inch barrels with a center rib. It was manufactured in 1973 based on the R*1 Spanish date code on the barrel. The barrels are marked "ZABALA HNOS. S.R.C - EIBAR - MADE IN SPAIN" and "EAGLE ARMS - NEW YORK - N.Y." Both barrels carry bore diameter markings of 19.4 and 19.6 nearest to the chamber, along with single stars. The shotgun bears the serial number 189984, also matching on the barrels and forend. Sighting is provided by mid and front gold bead sights. The shotgun features a blued finish with scroll engraving on the receiver. The stock and forend are checkered walnut in a pistol grip configuration, with a rubber buttpad installed at the heel. No original box or accessories included.
