The Zeiss Diavari ZA 2.5-10x52 T* is a premium variable power riflescope manufactured by Carl Zeiss in Germany, designed for demanding hunting applications where optical performance in marginal light is critical. The Diavari ZA series is built on a 30mm main tube and uses Zeiss's proprietary T* multi-layer anti-reflective lens coatings, a technology originally developed for Zeiss camera and scientific optics, to maximize light transmission across the visible spectrum. The large 52mm objective lens paired with the 2.5-10x magnification range delivers an exceptionally wide exit pupil at lower magnifications, making the scope well suited for European driven hunts at close range as well as stand hunting and stalking at extended distances during dawn and dusk conditions. The 4:1 zoom ratio provides versatility from fast, close-range shooting at 2.5x through precise longer-range work at 10x. The Diavari ZA features a fixed parallax setting, capped finger-adjustable windage and elevation turrets, and a robust aluminum housing that is nitrogen purged and O-ring sealed for waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof performance. This generation of Zeiss Diavari represents a period of German optical manufacturing before the transition to the Victory and Conquest product lines.

This example is finished in gloss black and is configured with the German #8 reticle in the first focal plane. The German #8 is a traditional four-sided crosshair design featuring four tapered posts extending inward from the top, bottom, left, and right edges of the field of view, with a small open center where the posts converge but do not meet. This design provides fast target acquisition through the bold outer posts while leaving the center of the image unobstructed for precise shot placement. As a first focal plane reticle, the crosshair elements scale proportionally with magnification changes, maintaining consistent angular subtension across the entire zoom range. No original box or accessories included.
