Weatherby Mark V .338-378 Weatherby Magnum, Lilja Barrel

The Weatherby Mark V is a bolt action rifle designed by Roy Weatherby, featuring a push feed action with a nine lug bolt providing 54 degrees of bolt lift. The action uses a fluted bolt body with an enclosed bolt face and plunger ejector. During the late 1950s through the early 1970s, Weatherby contracted production of Mark V rifles to Howa Machinery in Japan while the company was headquartered in South Gate, California. The .338-378 Weatherby Magnum is a belted magnum cartridge based on the .378 Weatherby Magnum case necked down to .338 caliber, using the Mark V's magnum length action.

This example has been rechambered to .338-378 Weatherby Magnum, featuring a 26 inch Lilja barrel currently fitted with a muzzle brake. The rifle is stocked in a black composite Monte Carlo stock with a raised cheek piece and front and rear sling studs. A set of 30mm scope rings is installed on the receiver. No original box or accessories included.
