The PPK/S is a straight blowback, fixed barrel semi automatic pistol with a double action/single action trigger system and slide mounted safety/decocker. The barrel is fixed to the frame with the recoil spring surrounding it, eliminating a locking system and defining the compact mechanical layout of the design. Smith & Wesson production incorporates an extended beavertail tang and an internal firing pin safety while retaining the original Walther control configuration and operating system.

This example is a factory engraved PPK/S-1 with a acanthus scroll engraving across the slide and frame in a stainless finish. It is fitted with walnut grips featuring checkering, scroll work, and a carved “Walther” banner. The pistol is chambered in .380 ACP and configured with fixed sights with factory red paint accents. It is housed in a fitted wood presentation case with blue velvet interior and Walther marking on the lid. Accompanied by one magazine.
