The Carl Walther KKJ is a bolt action sporting rifle produced by Carl Walther Sportwaffenfabrik in Ulm an der Donau, West Germany. The KKJ series was offered in several rimfire and centerfire chamberings, with the KKJ-H variant designating the .22 Hornet chambering. The action uses a miniature Mauser style bolt with dual front locking lugs and a claw extractor for controlled round feed. The KKJ-H is equipped with a double set trigger, which allows the shooter to set the front trigger to a light, hair trigger pull by first pressing the rear trigger, or to fire the rifle conventionally using the front trigger alone at its standard pull weight. The safety is a flag type lever located on the rear of the bolt shroud. The rifle feeds from a detachable box magazine. 

This example is chambered in .22 Hornet and was manufactured in 1974, as indicated by the barrel date code "74". The top of the receiver is marked "Carl Walther Ulm/Do Sportwaffenfabrik" and the left side of the receiver is marked with an "h". The 22 inch barrel is fitted with a hooded front sight, though the rear sight has been removed for use with an optic. The walnut stock features a pancake cheekpiece and checkering at the wrist and forend. Accompanied by one detachable box magazine. No original box or accessories included.
