The Winchester Super X3 (SX3) is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun manufactured by FN Herstal in Belgium for Winchester Repeating Arms. The SX3 operates on an Active Valve gas system that self-regulates gas pressure to cycle reliably across a broad range of 12 gauge loads without manual adjustment, venting excess gas to reduce felt recoil. The action is built on a lightweight aluminum alloy receiver with a large ejection port, and the bolt features a rotating bolt head that locks into the barrel extension. The SX3 Sporting variant is configured for clay target disciplines, featuring a ported barrel to reduce muzzle rise, back-bored barrel technology for improved shot patterning, and the Invector Plus choke tube system.

This example is chambered in 12 gauge and fitted with a 28 inch ported barrel with a ventilated rib. The shotgun uses a matte black synthetic composite stock and forend with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.
