Winchester Model 70 .30-06 Springfield, Manufactured 1971, Weaver V7-A 2.5-7x Scope
The Winchester Model 70 is a bolt action rifle produced by Winchester Repeating Arms, introduced in 1936 and widely regarded as one of the most significant American bolt action sporting rifle designs. The Model 70 is built around a two lug bolt action feeding from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate released by a catch inside the trigger guard. A three position safety is mounted on the bolt shroud, providing a middle position that locks the bolt closed while still allowing the safety to be disengaged, and a fully rearward position that locks both the bolt and trigger.
This example was manufactured in 1971 and is chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The rifle is fitted with a hooded ramp front sight and a semi buckhorn rear sight. The walnut stock features a Monte Carlo comb with a left side cheekpiece and diamond point checkering on the grip and forend. The rifle is accompanied by a Weaver V7-A 2.5-7x variable power scope. No original box or accessories included.
