Winchester 70 Short Action Heavy Varmint .308 Winchester, 26 Inch Stainless Barrel

The Winchester Model 70 is a bolt action rifle first introduced in 1936 and widely regarded as one of the most influential bolt action sporting rifle designs. The Heavy Varmint variant is built on the short action receiver with a push feed action and is configured for precision shooting at range, featuring a heavy contour stainless steel barrel and a target style synthetic stock with a wide, flat forend designed to provide a stable rest on sandbags or bench rest. The action incorporates a three position safety mounted on the bolt shroud, with a middle position that locks the trigger while allowing the bolt to cycle for safe loading and unloading, and a fully rearward position that locks both the trigger and bolt. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The rifle feeds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate.

This example is chambered in .308 Winchester and features a 26 inch stainless steel heavy contour barrel paired with a black synthetic stock. Accompanied by 1 inch scope rings, no original box or accessories included.
