The Winchester Model 70 Classic Stainless is a bolt action rifle produced under the Winchester brand. The Model 70 Classic series reintroduced the pre-1964 controlled round feed action with a non-rotating Mauser type claw extractor and fixed blade ejector, departing from the push feed design used from 1964 through the early 1990s. The bolt uses two front locking lugs and a three position safety mounted on the bolt shroud. The Classic Stainless variant pairs a stainless steel barreled action with a walnut stock. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The rifle feeds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate.

This example began as a Classic Stainless BOSS variant chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, which appears to have subsequently had the barrel cut, removing the threads, recrowned, and ported.The current barrel length is 25 inches. The stainless steel finish is present throughout the barreled action. The stock is walnut with cut checkering at the pistol grip and forend, a straight comb with cheekpiece, and a black rubber buttpad. A Burris scope base and rings are installed on the receiver. No original box or accessories included.
