Winchester Model 1886 Deluxe Trapper Limited Series .45-70 Govt, Case Hardened Receiver, 16" Barrel
The Winchester Model 1886 is a lever action rifle designed by John Browning and originally manufactured by Winchester from 1886 to 1935. The action uses dual vertically sliding locking bolts actuated by toggle links connected to the lever, creating one of the strongest lever action mechanisms ever produced and one fully capable of handling full power big bore cartridges. Modern production Model 1886 rifles are manufactured by Miroku in Japan for Winchester.
The Deluxe Trapper Limited Series is a compact variant of the Model 1886 featuring a 16 inch round barrel and full length tubular magazine, producing a short profile lever action suited for handling in confined spaces. The receiver and buttplate are finished in traditional color case hardening, and the lever, forend cap, and barrel are blued. The rifle is fitted with a walnut stock with a straight grip profile and classic crescent buttplate. Sights consist of a semi-buckhorn adjustable rear sight and a brass bead front sight. Original box included, marked "WRA 1886-DLX Trapper LTD Series 45-70."
