Tula 1986 AKS74-U Krinkov SBR with Dead Air Wolverine Suppressor, 5.45x39

The AKS-74U is the compact member of the AK-74 family and saw extensive use within Soviet and Russian forces, particularly among airborne units, armored vehicle crews,  and various security and interior ministry troops. Its compact dimensions made it suitable for roles in which a full length rifle was impractical while still maintaining compatibility with the 5.45x39 service cartridge and standard AK-74 magazines. The design uses a significantly shortened barrel and gas system combined with its distinctive dust cover and side folding triangle stock.

This AKS-74U SBR was built by Mesa Kinetics/Michigan Kinetics utilizing a 1986 Tula all matching parts kit, Nodak Spud receiver, and a Bluejack barrel. It was further completed as traditionally configured with a triangle folding stock, bakelite pistol grip, and wood handguards.

The rifle is paired with a Dead Air Wolverine suppressor and mounted using a M24x1.5 long thread adapter for AKS-74U pattern front sight blocks, but also includes its original booster. The Wolverine is engineered to replicate the external profile of the Soviet PBS suppressor while utilizing modern suppressor internals. This package also includes a Molot plum 45-round RPK-74 magazine.
