The RMR HD uses an LED projected reticle with both manual and automatic brightness control and multiple night vision compatible settings. A forward facing light sensor adjusts reticle intensity based on ambient light conditions, while the top loading battery allows replacement without removing the optic from the slide. Windage and elevation adjustments are recessed into the housing and adjust in 1 MOA increments.

The housing is machined from 7075-T6 forged aluminum and is sealed against environmental exposure. The optic provides unlimited eye relief and a fixed 1x optical system, with a selectable reticle consisting of a 3.25 MOA dot and optional outer ring.
