The TommyBuilt T7 is a semi-automatic U.S. manufactured MP7 pattern firearm built around the original dimensional layout and magazine geometry of the HK PDW platform. The receiver architecture uses a compact polymer chassis with top rail and telescoping stock, placing the operating mass inline with the bore. The system operates using a short-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt, and feeds from double stack 4.6x30 magazines. The platform was originally developed for military personal defense weapon roles and saw adoption in specialized units including elements of SOCOM.

The 4.6x30 cartridge is a bottlenecked small caliber high velocity round designed for a locked breech compact firearm rather than a handgun action. Its pressure curve and projectile length require a rifle type operating system and magazine feed geometry distinct from pistol cartridges. This example is equipped with a SureFire MP7-pattern flash hider suppressor adapter allowing attachment of compatible SureFire suppressors. No original case or accessories included.
