Steyr Mannlicher SPP 9mm Pistol,
The Steyr SPP is the semi automatic civilian version of the Steyr TMP (Tactical Machine Pistol), developed by Steyr Mannlicher in Austria during the early 1990s. While the TMP was designed as a select fire machine pistol for military and law enforcement use, the SPP was produced as a semi automatic export model for the commercial market. The pistol retains the distinctive polymer receiver and integrated forward grip of the TMP while omitting the select fire capability.
The SPP operates using a short stroke gas piston system rather than the simple blowback operation common in many large format pistols. This system, combined with the fixed barrel and high bore axis grip arrangement, contributes to controllable recoil and mechanical reliability. The pistol uses detachable double column magazines and includes an integrated top rail designed for mounting optics, reflecting the original TMP concept as a compact personal defense weapon. One magazine, no original box included
