Steyr Mannlicher MCA .308 Winchester, Full Mannlicher Stock, Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4x Scope

The Steyr Mannlicher MCA is a bolt action carbine manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch in Austria, built on the Model M action designed for standard length cartridges such as .308 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, and 6.5x57. The Model M action features six forward locking lugs arranged in two rows of three, operating with a 60 degree bolt lift for fast, smooth cycling. The MCA designation identifies the full length Mannlicher stocked carbine variant with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, distinguishing it from the half stocked MC variant. The full Mannlicher stock extends to the muzzle and is secured by a barrel band, a hallmark of the Mannlicher sporting rifle tradition that provides barrel protection in the field.

The MCA is equipped with a double set trigger system. The front trigger functions as a conventional single stage trigger when pulled directly, while pulling the rear trigger sets the front trigger to a significantly lighter pull weight for precise shot placement. The stock is European walnut with a Monte Carlo cheekpiece, skip line checkering on the pistol grip and forend, and a butterknife bolt handle. The rifle feeds from a detachable rotary magazine that sits flush with the stock line, providing reliable feeding without protruding below the stock.

This example is chambered in .308 Winchester with a 20.5 inch barrel. Iron sights consist of a blade front sight and a flip up rear sight. The rifle is fitted with a Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialytan 4x fixed power scope, mounted via a base that has been drilled and tapped into the side of the receiver. The Dialytan series was manufactured by Hensoldt, a subsidiary of Carl Zeiss, in Wetzlar, West Germany, and this example features a German #1 reticle. No original box or accessories included.
