The Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0 Spec Series steel frame is a limited production variant of the M&P striker fired pistol platform. The pistol uses a steel frame rather than the standard polymer or aluminum frame, increasing overall mass to improve recoil control and return. The slide is optics ready using the C.O.R.E. mounting system, allowing installation of multiple red dot optics using interchangeable plates.

This configuration includes a threaded barrel with installed compensator, flat face aluminum trigger, extended steel magwell, and blue PVD accent components on the barrel, controls, and optic cover plate. The pistol is equipped with tall night sights and interchangeable palmswell grip inserts to adjust grip size. Spec Series pistols were packaged as limited edition kits that included a Spec Series knife, commemorative coin, and fitted hard case along with additional accessories.
