The Ashland Special is a limited production distributor exclusive configuration produced for Ashland Shooter Supply of Ashland, Kentucky. These revolvers are distinguished from standard production Model 60s by the addition of an adjustable rear sight and a tall shark fin style front sight, features not cataloged on the standard two inch barrel Model 60 at the time of production. The adjustable sights provided the precision sight regulation typically associated with longer barreled target revolvers in a compact, concealable package.
