Smith & Wesson 4566 .45 ACP

The Smith & Wesson 4566 is a member of S&W's Third Generation semi-automatic pistol series, chambered in .45 ACP. It operates on a short recoil, locked breech system with a Browning-type tilting barrel and uses a traditional double action/single action trigger mechanism. The 4566 uses a shortened 4.25 inch barrel compared to the full size Model 4506, while feeding from 8-round single stack magazines. The Third Generation series was produced by Smith & Wesson from the late 1980s through the early 2000s and was widely adopted by law enforcement agencies across the United States.

This example features a satin stainless steel frame and slide, black rubber wraparound grips, and a skeletonized hammer. The pistol is fitted with a white dot front sight and a fixed rear sight notch. Controls include a frame mounted ambidextrous decocking lever and firing pin block safety. Accompanied by three 8-round magazines, original box, and manuals.
