Smith & Wesson 15-2 Combat Masterpiece .38 Special, 4" Pinned Barrel, Blued, MFG 1963

The Smith & Wesson Model 15, known as the Combat Masterpiece, is a K-frame revolver chambered in .38 Special. Introduced in 1949, it combined the adjustable target sights of the K-38 Masterpiece with a 4 inch barrel suited for duty and defensive use. The Model 15 became one of the most widely issued law enforcement revolvers in the United States, valued for its accuracy and smooth double action trigger. The dash 2 engineering change, introduced in 1961, incorporated a redesigned cylinder stop and other minor internal refinements.

This example was manufactured in 1963 and features a pinned 4 inch barrel and blued finish. The revolver is fitted with factory slim service grips, the narrow diamond pattern walnut grips with S&W medallions standard on K-frames of this period. The sight system consists of a Baughman quick draw ramp front sight paired with a micrometer click adjustable rear sight. No original box or accessories included.
