The Savage 111 Long Range Hunter is a long action bolt action rifle with a push feed bolt and two front locking lugs. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The rifle feeds from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate and is equipped with a two position tang safety. It is fitted with Savage's AccuTrigger, a user adjustable trigger system incorporating a central blade safety lever within the trigger face that prevents discharge unless the trigger is deliberately engaged.

This example is chambered in 6.5x284 Norma and features a 24 inch button-rifled threaded barrel fitted with a muzzle brake. The stock is Savage's black synthetic AccuStock, which incorporates an aluminum rail running the full length of the forend to provide a rigid bedding surface between the stock and action. An adjustable cheek riser allows comb height adjustment for optic alignment. No original box or accessories included.
