The STI DVC Open is a single action semi automatic pistol built on the 2011 double stack platform, designed for USPSA and IPSC Open division competition. Manufactured by STI International (now Staccato) in Georgetown, Texas, the DVC Open is chambered in 9mm or .38 Super and operates on a short recoil, locked breech system with a ramped bull barrel and a compensator to reduce muzzle rise. The pistol uses a modular steel frame with a polymer grip insert. The slide is lightened with top and side cuts to reduce reciprocating mass. The DVC Open features an extended beavertail grip safety and is configured for optic use without provisions for iron sights.

This example is chambered in 9mm and features an all black finish on the frame, slide, barrel, and compensator, with a stainless finish on the recoil spring plug and magwell. The pistol is fitted with stainless ambidextrous DoubleTap safeties and a curved polymer skeletonized trigger. The magazine release is a black STP (Sport Target Pistol) extended skeletonized magazine release. Mounted to the frame is an RMR footprint Atlas Gun Works optic mount, currently fitted with a thumb rest. A black right side charging handle is mounted to the slide. The pistol has some minor finish wear to the compensator and some small patches of previous, very light, freckling. Accompanied by one MBX magazine and rubber zip bag.
