The Sig Sauer P239 is a compact double action/single action semi automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Parabellum, manufactured by SIG Sauer Inc. The P239 was introduced in 1996 as a slim, single stack concealed carry and duty pistol. It operates on a short recoil, locked breech system using a modified Browning cam action. The P239 features a machined stainless steel slide mounted on an anodized aluminum alloy frame, a frame mounted decocking lever, and an automatic firing pin safety. The single stack magazine design results in a notably thin grip profile compared to double stack Sig Sauer models such as the P228 and P229.

This example features a black nitron finish on the slide and a black hard anodized alloy frame. The pistol is fitted with a bobbed hammer, white dot front and rear fixed sights, and black polymer grips marked "SIG SAUER" on the right panel and "P239" on the left panel.
