The Sig Sauer P229 Pro is a compact semi automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, produced by SIG's Custom Works division as a duty and performance oriented variant of the P229 platform. The P229 operates on a short recoil, locked breech system using a modified Browning cam lock action with a one piece stainless steel slide. The Pro variant features a Pro Cut slide with forward lightening cuts and a milled optic mounting cut that accepts Leupold DeltaPoint Pro and SIG Romeo1Pro optics via direct mount, with Trijicon RMR pattern optics supported through the use of an adapter plate. The trigger system is double action/single action with a short reset trigger and a flat faced skeletonized trigger bow. The alloy frame is finished in black hard coat anodize and features an accessory rail, undercut trigger guard, and extended beavertail. The slide is finished in Nitron over stainless steel.
