The P220 was SIG Sauer's first major double action service pistol and established the design architecture that would define the entire P22x family. The P220 Carry, designated by SKU 220R3-45-BSS, pairs the full-size P220's proven single stack frame with a compact-length slide and 3.9-inch barrel, reducing overall length without compromising the grip geometry or control layout that made the platform a benchmark for .45 ACP pistols.

Mechanically, the P220 Carry operates on a short recoil, locked breech system with a modified Browning tilting barrel design. The alloy frame keeps weight manageable while the steel slide provides the mass necessary for reliable cycling of .45 ACP. A frame-mounted decocking lever allows safe transition from single action to double action without manipulating the trigger, and the double action/single action trigger system gives the shooter a deliberate first pull followed by a shorter, lighter reset for subsequent rounds. Accompanied by original box, factory manual, and three 8-round magazines.
