The Sig Sauer 1911 is a full size, single action only semi automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. Sig Sauer's 1911 platform uses a stainless steel frame and slide, an external extractor, a beavertail grip safety, an extended thumb safety, a skeletonized trigger, and Novak style low profile sights. The Texas Edition is a limited production commemorative variant honoring the state of Texas, produced in multiple configurations including Gold, Silver, and Platinum editions, each with distinct finish treatments and engraving patterns.

This example is the Silver Edition, configured with a high polished black slide and a contrasting stainless steel frame. The slide features extensive floral scroll engraving across both flats and the top. The right side of the slide is marked "LONE STAR STATE" in silver inlay, and the left side is marked "TEXAS HAS YET TO LEARN SUBMISSION TO ANY OPPRESSION - SAM HOUSTON" in silver inlay. A 2004 Texas state quarter is inlaid into the top of the slide. The pistol is fitted with rosewood grips featuring a carved Texas Lone Star motif. Accompanied by one magazine, no original box or additional accessories included.
