The Springfield Armory TRP (Tactical Response Pistol) Operator is a professional grade, single action, semi-automatic 1911 pistol chambered in .45 ACP. The TRP series was developed in conjunction with the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team program and built to function as a duty grade combat pistol. The Operator variant is distinguished by the full length Picatinny accessory rail machined into the extended dust cover of the frame, providing a mounting platform for weapon lights and laser aiming devices. The pistol is built on a forged carbon steel frame and slide, fitted with a 5-inch match grade stainless steel bull barrel that locks directly into the slide without a barrel bushing, using a reverse plug recoil system. The front strap and flat mainspring housing feature sharp checkering for positive grip purchase under adverse conditions. 

This example is equipped with an adjustable rear sight and fixed blade front sight. It features a lightweight speed trigger, ambidextrous frame mounted thumb safeties and a heavy duty beavertail grip safety with memory bump. The slide and frame are finished in a black protective finish, and the pistol is fitted with rough textured grip panels. Accompanied by two 7-round magazines and original soft case.
