The Springfield Armory Echelon is a striker fired, semi-automatic pistol built on a modular chassis system. The serialized central operating group (COG) is a self contained stainless steel chassis that houses the fire control components and can be transferred between different grip modules. The slide is optics ready, machined with a mounting interface that accepts multiple optic footprints using Springfield's VIS interchangeable self-locking pin system. The 4.5F Comp variant is the compensated full size configuration, incorporating a port in the barrel and slide that vent propellant gases upward to reduce muzzle rise. The Echelon features a blade safety trigger and ambidextrous magazine and slide releases.

This example is configured with a green anodized Icarus Precision machined aluminum grip module and magwell. The pistol is equipped with a U-notch rear sight and a USA H3 tritium front sight. No optic cover plate is installed. Accompanied by one 21-round magazine and RMR pins, no additional accessories or cover plate included.
