Remington Four .308 Winchester, MFG 1982

The Remington Model Four is a gas operated semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Remington Arms Company, introduced in 1981 as the successor to the Model 742 Woodsmaster. The Model Four uses a gas system with a rotating bolt head featuring multiple locking lugs that engage the barrel extension. The Model Four incorporated a redesigned action bar and feed system over the 742 platform, intended to improve reliability and smoothness of operation. The receiver is constructed of steel with a polished blue finish. The rifle is fitted with a walnut stock and matching forend with pressed checkering, and uses a cross bolt safety positioned at the rear of the trigger guard.

This example is chambered in .308 Winchester with a 22 inch barrel and was manufactured in 1982, as indicated by the BC date code stamped on the barrel. The rifle is fitted with a Monte Carlo walnut stock with a raised cheekpiece. Sights consist of a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. Accompanied by two detachable box magazines, no original box or additional accessories included.
