Remington Four .270 Winchester, MFG April 1982

The Remington Model Four is a gas operated semi-automatic rifle manufactured by Remington Arms Company, introduced in 1981 as the successor to the Model 742 Woodsmaster. The Model Four uses a gas system with a rotating bolt head featuring multiple locking lugs that engage the barrel extension. The redesigned action bar and feed system over the 742 platform improved reliability and smoothness of operation. The receiver is constructed of steel and drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The Model Four uses a cross bolt safety positioned at the rear of the trigger guard and feeds from a detachable box magazine.

This example is chambered in .270 Winchester with a 22 inch barrel and was manufactured in April 1982, as indicated by the CC barrel date code. The rifle features a polished blue finish on the metal surfaces and is fitted with a Monte Carlo walnut stock with a raised cheekpiece and matching checkered forend with white line spacers. Sights consist of a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Accompanied by one detachable box magazine, no original box or additional accessories included.
