The Remington Model 870 Wingmaster is the premium grade variant of the Model 870 pump action shotgun, introduced in 1950. The platform uses a machined steel receiver with dual action bars and a bottom loading, side ejecting tubular magazine. The Wingmaster line is distinguished by its polished blued finish and select walnut furniture. The Light Contour (LC) barrel designation indicates a thinner, lighter profile barrel compared to the standard Wingmaster barrel, reducing overall weight for improved handling in the field. The Enhanced Engraved variant features factory engraving on both sides of the receiver with more extensive scroll coverage than the standard Wingmaster engraving pattern. The action uses a cross bolt safety located at the rear of the trigger guard and accepts Rem Choke interchangeable choke tubes.

This example is chambered in 12 gauge magnum with a 3 inch chamber and fitted with a 26 inch Light Contour barrel with a mid bead and front white bead sight arrangement and an Improved Cylinder Rem Choke tube installed. The barrel carries a "CT" date code. The stock has a 13.75 inch length of pull. No original box or accessories included.
