The Remington 870 Marine Magnum is a pump action shotgun built on the Model 870 platform, which uses a steel receiver with dual action bars and a bottom loading, side ejecting tubular magazine. The Marine Magnum variant is distinguished by its electroless nickel finish applied to all external metal surfaces, providing corrosion resistance in marine, humid, and harsh environments. The barrel is chambered for 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch 12 gauge shells, and the extended magazine tube increases capacity beyond that of standard sporting configurations.

This example is fitted with Hogue overmolded furniture on both the stock and forend, each consisting of a rigid polymer core with soft rubber overmolding for a secure grip. Mounted to the receiver is an aluminum Mesa Tactical SureShell Saddle mount, combining a Picatinny rail on top of the receiver with an integrated 4 round 12 gauge shell carrier on the left side. The barrel is fitted with a front bead sight. No original box or accessories included.
