The Remington 700 Police is a precision bolt action rifle developed for law enforcement marksmen and precision shooting applications. Built on the Remington 700 action, the rifle uses the platform’s dual opposed locking lugs and cylindrical receiver design known for strength and consistent bolt lockup. Police models were produced with heavier barrel profiles and reinforced stocks compared to standard sporting variants in order to improve rigidity and repeatable accuracy during sustained use.

Introduced as the 700P/700PSS in the late 1980s, the rifle was developed as a dedicated law enforcement precision rifle influenced by military sniper systems such as the M24 and M40. This rifle features a 26 inch heavy profile barrel and black synthetic stock, typical of the 700 police series rifles. This example is equipped with a bipod and a Leupold scope base and rings mounted to the receiver for optic installation. No original box or accessories included.
