The Remington 700 Police is a bolt action rifle developed for law enforcement marksmen and precision shooting applications. Built on the Remington 700 action, the police variant uses heavier barrel profiles and reinforced stocks in comparison to standard sporting variants, improving rigidity and repeatable accuracy during sustained use. Introduced as the 700P and later 700PSS beginning in the late 1980s, the platform was developed as a dedicated law enforcement precision rifle influenced by military sniper systems such as the M24 and M40.

This rifle features a 26 inch heavy contour barrel chambered in .308 Winchester. Coinciding with the Police series, this rifle features a black HS Precision composite stock. The HS Precision stock incorporates an aluminum bedding block that provides a rigid, consistent interface between the action and stock. A Leupold scope base and 1 inch scope rings are installed. No original box or accessories included.
