The Lew Horton .257 Roberts Remington 700 BDL is a limited edition of 500 rifles distributed exclusively by Lew Horton Distributing Company in 1990. The .257 Roberts was not part of Remington's standard 700 BDL catalog at the time, making this a desirable chambering for collectors of limited production Remington rifles. The Lew Horton edition is built on the short action 700 BDL platform with a Monte Carlo walnut stock featuring skip line checkering, black forend tip, and pistol grip cap with white line spacers.

Coinciding with the March 1990 Lew Horton run, this example has a barrel date code of AK and 22 inch barrel. The rifle features a polished blue finish on the metal surfaces, and a hooded ramp front sight, although no rear sight is present. A Redfield scope base is installed on the receiver, currently paired with 1 inch scope rings. No original box or accessories included.
