Remington 700 BDL Left Hand .220 Swift, Rebarreled, 26 Inch Barrel, Matte Black Finish

The Remington Model 700 is a bolt action rifle platform introduced in 1962, built around a push feed action with a counterbored bolt face, sliding plate extractor, and plunger ejector. The receiver is machined from carbon steel and is drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The left hand variant mirrors the standard configuration with the bolt handle, ejection port, and safety positioned for left handed operation. The .220 Swift is a semi-rimmed cartridge introduced by Winchester in 1935, based on a necked down .250-3000 Savage case. It was the first factory loaded rifle cartridge to exceed 4,000 feet per second, originally loaded to approximately 4,110 fps with a 48 grain bullet. The cartridge is known for its extreme velocity, flat trajectory, and accuracy potential, particularly when paired with heavier contour barrels that manage the heat generated by its large powder charge relative to bore diameter.

This example is a left hand Model 700 BDL that has been rebarreled to .220 Swift with a 26 inch barrel. The barreled action has been refinished in a matte black finish and is fitted with one inch scope rings. The Monte Carlo walnut stock features ski line checkering, black forend tip, and pistol grip cap. No original box or accessories included.
