Remington 1100 Magnum 12 Gauge, 3" Chamber, 30" Ventilated Rib Barrel

The Remington Model 1100 is a gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun introduced in 1963. The action uses a gas metering system that bleeds propellant gases through ports in the barrel into a cylinder surrounding the magazine tube, driving a piston and action bar assembly rearward to cycle the bolt. This gas system is widely recognized for producing lower felt recoil compared to inertia-driven and long-recoil designs. The Model 1100 Magnum is a variant designed to reliably cycle 3 inch magnum shells, featuring a longer receiver, lengthened action bars, and a 3 inch chamber to accommodate the increased shell length. The 1100 Magnum is built on a steel receiver and uses a rotating bolt that locks into the barrel extension.

This example is chambered in 12 gauge with a 3 inch chamber and is fitted with a 30 inch ventilated rib barrel with a front bead sight. The barrel is threaded for Remington RemChoke tubes, with no choke tube currently installed. The shotgun features a blued steel receiver with a walnut stock and forend. The length of pull measures 14 inches. No original box or accessories included.
