Remington 1100 LT-20 20 Gauge, 28" Barrel, Fixed Modified Choke

The Remington Model 1100 is a gas operated semi-automatic shotgun introduced in 1963. The 1100 bleeds propellant gases through ports in the barrel into a gas system surrounding the magazine tube, where they act on a piston and action bar sleeve to drive the bolt assembly rearward and cycle the action. The self-regulating gas system uses the piston, seals, and gas ports/exhaust provisions to provide reliable cycling across a range of appropriate loads while substantially reducing felt recoil. The action uses a breech bolt with a locking block that engages a recess in the barrel extension to lock the action during firing.

This example is an LT-20, chambered in 20 gauge with a 2 3/4 inch chamber and is fitted with a 28 inch ventilated rib barrel with a front bead sight and a fixed Modified choke. The LT-20 variant, introduced in 1977, is a lightweight version chambered in 20 gauge that replaced the earlier standard 20 gauge 1100, which had been built on the full size 12 gauge receiver. With the use of a scaled down receiver, the LT-20 achieves a weight roughly half a pound less than the standard 20 gauge model. The receiver is steel with a blued finish and factory scroll engraving. The stock and forend are walnut with fleur-de-lis checkering and white line spacers at the buttpad and grip cap. The length of pull measures 14 inches. No original box or accessories included.
