Ruger Single-Seven .327 Federal Magnum, 7.5" Barrel, Stainless, Model 08162
The Ruger Single-Seven is a single action revolver designed around the .327 Federal Magnum cartridge, which operates at higher pressures than the .32 H&R Magnum from which it was developed, producing significantly greater velocity and energy from the same bore diameter. The Single-Seven is built on Ruger's mid-frame platform shared with the New Vaquero and Single-Six families, and is notable for its seven round cylinder capacity, one more than the traditional six rounds afforded by the larger bore cartridges typically chambered in single action revolvers of this size. The smaller bore diameter of the .32 caliber cartridge allows the additional seventh chamber to be fitted within the same cylinder envelope. The .327 Federal Magnum chamber also accepts .32 H&R Magnum, .32 S&W Long, and .32 S&W cartridges, providing considerable versatility in ammunition selection ranging from mild target loads to full power magnum loads. The action uses Ruger's transfer bar safety mechanism, allowing all seven chambers to be safely carried loaded. Sights consist of a ramp front sight and an adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation.
This example is model number 08162, chambered in .327 Federal Magnum with a 7.5 inch barrel and a satin stainless steel finish throughout. The revolver is fitted with hardwood grips with Ruger medallion inlays. Accompanied by original box and paperwork.
