"The Alaska Legacy Revolver" is a limited edition commemorative revolver produced by American Legacy Firearms, built on the Ruger New Model Blackhawk platform chambered in .44 Remington Magnum. The New Model Blackhawk is a single action revolver incorporating Ruger's transfer bar safety mechanism, which allows the revolver to be safely carried with all six chambers loaded. American Legacy Firearms selected this platform as the canvas for an elaborate tribute to the state of Alaska, applying detailed ornamental scroll engraving and scenic panels enhanced with 24 karat gold plating across the barrel, frame, cylinder, and associated hardware. The edition is strictly limited to 49 revolvers, corresponding to Alaska's status as the 49th state admitted to the Union in 1959.

This example is number 49 of 49, the final revolver in the series. It features a 7.5 inch barrel with 24 karat gold plating applied extensively throughout, including the front sight, ejection rod, cylinder interior, and external hardware. The barrel is engraved with "North to the Future" on the left side and "The Last Frontier" on the right side. The cylinder features floral scroll engraving along with scenic panels depicting Alaska wildlife and landscapes. The backstrap is engraved with the Seal of Alaska and reads "The Land Of The Midnight Sun" along its length. The revolver is fitted with a jeweled trigger and jeweled hammer. Engraved wood grip panels read "49 of 49" on the left and "Last Great Race" on the right, with "49 of 49" also engraved on the butt of the grip. Sights consist of a gold plated front sight and an adjustable rear sight. No original box or accessories included.
