The Ruger Blackhawk is a single action revolver designed and manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co., introduced in 1955. In 1973, Ruger introduced the New Model Blackhawk, which incorporated a redesigned internal mechanism featuring a transfer bar safety system. The transfer bar mechanism eliminated the need to carry the revolver with an empty chamber under the hammer, allowing all six chambers to be safely loaded. Unlike the original Blackhawk, which used a 3-screw frame design, the New Model Blackhawk uses a 2-screw frame design.

This example is model 00331, manufactured in 1988, and features a 7.5 inch barrel in a Bisley configuration. The Bisley variant is distinguished by its reshaped grip frame with a more vertical profile and broader backstrap, along with a lower, wider hammer spur. The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and finished in a polished blue throughout, with the exception of the hammer, which has a stainless finish. The cylinder is engraved with floral patterns and a "Ruger Bisley Model" roll mark. The revolver is fitted with smooth wood grips with silver Ruger medallion inlays. Sights consist of a ramp front and an adjustable rear. No original box or accessories included.

Note: Some patches of previous surface rust present throughout, particularly on the hammer. Loading gate has developed into a plum color.
