Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357 Magnum, 6.5" Barrel, Blued with Stainless Hammer

The Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single action revolver designed and manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. The Blackhawk was originally introduced in 1955 as Ruger's first centerfire revolver, drawing on the general profile and handling characteristics of the Colt Single Action Army while incorporating modern investment cast construction and coil spring internals. In 1973, Ruger introduced the "New Model" designation, which marked the transition to a transfer bar ignition system that allows the revolver to be safely carried with all six chambers loaded. This replaced the earlier three screw mechanism that required the hammer to rest on an empty chamber for safe carry. The New Model Blackhawk uses a medium frame with a steel grip frame and is built around a 6-round cylinder.

This example is chambered in .357 Magnum and features a brushed blued finish throughout with a stainless steel hammer. The revolver is fitted with wood grips bearing Ruger phoenix medallions. Sights are a blade front and a micrometer click adjustable rear. No original box or accessories included.
