Ruger New Model Blackhawk Bisley .45 LC/.45 ACP Convertible, 3 3/4" Barrel, Stainless
The Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single action revolver produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co., built on Ruger's large frame platform. The New Model designation refers to the transfer bar mechanism introduced in 1973, which replaced the earlier three screw action and allows all six chambers to be safely carried loaded. The Blackhawk Convertible models ship with two cylinders, enabling the revolver to fire both .45 Colt and .45 ACP cartridges by swapping cylinders. The .45 ACP cylinder headspaces on the case mouth without the need for moon clips. The Bisley variant features a grip frame and hammer profile derived from the Colt Bisley Target Model of the 1890s. The Bisley grip frame provides a more upright grip angle with a pronounced curve at the base of the backstrap, positioning the shooter's hand higher relative to the bore axis. The Bisley hammer spur is lower, wider, and swept forward compared to the standard Blackhawk, facilitating easier thumb cocking.
This example features a 3 3/4 inch barrel and a satin stainless steel finish throughout. The factory grips have been replaced with AZ Custom Grips Magna-Tusk aged distressed ivory style grips with Monterrey checkering and inlayed Ruger medallions. Sights consist of a blade front sight and an adjustable rear sight. Accompanied by additional conversion cylinder, no original box.
