The Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a single action revolver introduced in 1973 as a redesign of the original Blackhawk, incorporating the transfer bar safety mechanism that became standard across Ruger's single action line. The transfer bar system allows all six chambers to be loaded and carried safely, eliminating the need for the traditional practice of carrying with the hammer down on an empty chamber. The 50th Anniversary edition, designated Model 05201 (Catalog Number NVB34-50), commemorates fifty years of Blackhawk production. 

This example features a 4 5/8 inch barrel and has been customized by Clements Custom Guns. The custom work includes color case hardening applied to the frame and hammer, an action job, and the installation of a pinned blade front sight with a horizontal gold bar. The top of the barrel is marked "50TH YEAR BLACKHAWK / 1955 TO 2005". The revolver is fitted with burl maple grips with Ruger medallion inserts in place of the factory grips. The original black Ruger grips are also included. Accompanied by red Ruger case with 50th Anniversary inlay, green Ruger blanket, manuals/paperwork, as well as Clements Custom invoice.
