The Ruger Mark IV is a semi automatic rimfire pistol chambered in .22 LR, manufactured by Sturm, Ruger & Co. The Mark IV is the fourth generation of Ruger's Standard Model pistol lineage, which began production in 1949. The Mark IV introduced a one button takedown system that allows the upper receiver to separate from the grip frame without tools. The pistol operates on a simple blowback action.

This example is the Hunter variant, model 40118, manufactured in 2017. It features a 6 7/8 inch fluted bull barrel with a stainless finish throughout and is drilled and tapped for use with scope bases. The pistol is fitted with a red fiber optic front sight and an adjustable rear sight for windage and elevation correction. The grips are checkered red laminate wood with silver Ruger medallion inlays. Accompanied by two 10-round magazines, no original box or accessories included.
