The Ruger Gunsite Scout is a bolt action rifle developed in collaboration with the Gunsite Academy, built on a controlled round feed action utilizing a full length claw extractor and fixed blade ejector. The receiver incorporates a three position wing safety on the bolt shroud and an integral recoil lug. The rifle features a forward mounted Picatinny rail on the barrel, intended for use with long eye relief optics in the traditional scout rifle configuration. The cold hammer forged barrel is free floated within the stock and fitted with a flash suppressor. Sights consist of a post front sight with protective wings and an adjustable ghost ring rear sight. The rifle feeds from a detachable box magazine and the stock incorporates a length of pull adjustment system using spacers.

This example is a left hand configuration chambered in .308 Winchester, fitted with a black laminate stock and a matte black finished barrel and action. Accompanied by one 10-round detachable magazine, factory Ruger scope rings, and the original box.
