Ruger 77/22 .22 WMR, Stainless, Zytel Paddle Stock
The Ruger 77/22 is a bolt action rimfire rifle built on a scaled down version of the Ruger Model 77 centerfire action. Introduced in 1984, the 77/22 uses a Mauser type controlled round feed action with a full length claw extractor and a fixed blade ejector. The receiver is machined from steel and features Ruger's integral scope base system, which accepts proprietary Ruger scope rings. The bolt incorporates a three position wing safety on the bolt shroud, with a middle position that locks the trigger while still allowing the bolt to cycle, and a fully rearward position that locks both the trigger and bolt. The rifle feeds from a detachable rotary magazine, a flush fitting design that sits within the stock profile and presents cartridges consistently to the feed ramp. The .22 WMR variant uses a dedicated bolt face and magazine sized for the Winchester Magnum Rimfire cartridge.
This example is chambered in .22 WMR and is configured with a stainless steel barreled action paired with a Zytel synthetic stock, a glass fiber reinforced nylon construction with a distinctive checkering pattern, also known as the "boat paddle" stock. The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight and a flip up buckhorn rear sight. Accompanied by one detachable rotary magazine. No original box or accessories included.
