The Ruger 77/22 is a bolt action rifle produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co., adapting the Ruger M77 centerfire action to rimfire and small centerfire cartridges. The 77/22 action uses a three lug bolt with a 90 degree throw, a fixed blade ejector, and a plunger style bolt stop. The receiver is machined from steel and incorporates Ruger's integral scope base system, which accepts Ruger scope rings directly without the need for separate bases. The action features a three position wing safety on the bolt shroud that allows the bolt to be cycled with the safety in the middle position. The rifle feeds from a detachable rotary magazine, a design shared across the Ruger rimfire and small centerfire rifle lineup. 

This example is model 07225, chambered in .22 Hornet with a 20 inch alloy steel barrel threaded at the muzzle. The barrel and action are finished in a polished blue. The stock is American walnut with a classic sporter profile. Accompanied by one 6-round detachable rotary magazine, no original box or additional accessories included.
