Polytech AKS-762 Spiker, 7.62x39, 4 Magazines
The AKS-762 is built as a commercial export version of the Chinese Type 56 pattern rifle, using a stamped receiver, 16 inch barrel, and fixed wooden stock. A defining feature is the permanently attached folding spike bayonet, commonly referred to as the “spiker,” along with the hooded front sight unique to Chinese AK variants. The rifle operates using the Kalashnikov long-stroke gas piston system and feeds from standard double-stack detachable magazines.
Poly Technologies rifles were imported into the United States by KFS during the late 1980s and were produced to Chinese military pattern configuration with blued steel components and hardwood furniture. These rifles closely mirror the configuration of service rifles exported abroad and retain the integral spike bayonet rather than later sporting conversions. This rifle is accompanied by four magazines, original manual, sling, and front sight adjustment tool
