The Noveske x Irregular Defense Chainsaw is a complete upper receiver group developed as a collaboration between Noveske Rifleworks and Irregular Defense, the company founded by Slade Cutrer. The upper is built on a Noveske forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver paired with an 11.5 inch Noveske stainless steel barrel chambered in 5.56mm NATO with a 1:7 twist rate and a mid-length gas system. The use of a mid-length gas system on an 11.5 inch barrel provides a longer dwell time before the gas port, resulting in a softer recoil impulse and reduced bolt velocity compared to a carbine length system on the same barrel length. The handguard is a Noveske Gen 4 NSR-10, a 10.75 inch free floating aluminum design with M-Lok attachment slots around the circumference and a full length Picatinny rail on top. The upper receiver group is finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote and is complete with a Noveske bolt carrier group and Noveske charging handle.

This example is fitted with a Creative Arms F/U three prong flash hider, a stainless steel muzzle device with three asymmetric prongs designed to reduce flash signature. Accompanied by original box, hand stop, and three grip panels.
